Kyleigh Phillips
Community Partnerships Fellow
Kyleigh Phillips is a fourth-year student at the University of Virginia, double majoring in Global Security and Justice and Spanish, with a minor in Public Policy and Leadership. She began her role with the Center for Community Partnerships in the spring of 2024 as the Community Partnerships Fellow, working alongside Community Partnerships Program Manager DeVon Wade.
Since joining the Center, Kyleigh has supported Starr Hill Pathways Summer Camp for two consecutive summers and contributed to semester programming throughout the year. Her primary responsibilities include organizing community partner files, creating digital materials such as presentations and graphics, training undergraduate counselors, supervising virtual tutoring, collecting counselor feedback and supporting daily programming operations.
Kyleigh also represents the Center on UVA’s Public Service Advisory Board, where she collaborates to make ethical public service a core pillar of the University. She was recognized as one of UVA’s 2025 Most Outstanding Student Employees for her contributions to the Center — an achievement she states “was made possible only through the support and mentorship of the incredible staff at the Center.”
Kyleigh values the Center’s collaborative, and uplifting environment, which she sees reflected in the quality of Starr Hill Pathways programs. She has formed meaningful connections with many students through her work and looks forward to returning this summer as a Pathway Lead.
