Marcelle was born and raised in Charlottesville and brings a background in education, the arts, and supporting justice-involved youth. She earned her B.F.A. in Sculpture from VCU and began her career with the Department of Juvenile Justice in North Carolina through a wilderness-based program. She went on to teach art at Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention and Charlottesville High School before joining the Work Achieves Lasting Knowledge (WALK) program.

Her background as an artist and educator has shaped her belief in the power of creativity to build confidence, connection, and new possibilities. She brings this perspective to her role as Postsecondary Support Coordinator at the Center for Community Partnerships, where she supports young people as they recognize their strengths, navigate their next steps, and find meaningful pathways forward.

Marcelle is also the proud mom of three boys.
